Two founders. One frustration.
For too long, careers have started with a resume, an application, and a wait. We watched friends with real talent get stuck in the same old process, and we felt it ourselves. Ambition and ability, and still no way to reach the right people or the right opportunities.
So we stopped asking how to get better at applying. We started asking how hiring could be better. That question became Scoutd.
We review every signup and open access in batches. You'll hear from us by email.

Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your data, in plain language.

The short version: We collect the minimum data we need to send you Scoutd access updates. We do not sell your data. We do not share your contact details with anyone you haven't explicitly approved. You can ask us to delete your data anytime by emailing scoutd@scoutd.in.
1. Who we are
"Scoutd" refers to the team building the Scoutd platform, currently in pre-launch. Throughout this policy, "we" and "our" refer to Scoutd, and "you" refers to anyone using our website or joining the waitlist.
2. What data we collect
When you join the waitlist:
Name, required, so we know what to call you
Email address, required, so we can send you your invite
Role, candidate or recruiter, required
Feedback, optional, whatever you choose to tell us about what to build
When you use our website:
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited), kept for security and basic analytics
Local storage on your device (your theme preference), never sent to our servers
When the platform launches:
Additional data may include your profile, resume content, swipe history, applications, messages, and video pitches. We'll update this policy with full detail before launch.
3. How we use your data

We neveruse your data for spam, third-party advertising, or any purpose you haven't consented to.
4. Who we share data with
Service providers we use to operate Scoutd (e.g. email delivery, form storage). These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide their service.
Legal authorities, if required by Indian law (DPDP Act 2023, IT Act 2000).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
5. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct any inaccurate information
Erase your data and unsubscribe from our waitlist at any time
Withdraw consent for any data processing
Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India
Email scoutd@scoutd.into exercise these rights. We'll respond within 30 days.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures: HTTPS, restricted access to data stores, and secure infrastructure providers. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours, as required by Indian law.
7. Data retention
We keep waitlist data only as long as needed to send your launch invite. If you don't activate your account within 12 monthsof being invited, we'll automatically delete your waitlist data.
8. Cookies and tracking
Our landing page uses minimal tracking: just localStorage for your theme preference. No third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or social media trackers.
9. Children's data
Scoutd is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform evolves. When we make material changes, we'll notify waitlist members by email.
The rules of using Scoutd: what we promise, what we ask of you.

The short version: Scoutd is in pre-launch. By joining our waitlist, you agree we can email you about Scoutd, you'll be honest about who you are, and you understand the platform is still being built and may change.
1. Who can use Scoutd
To join our waitlist or use Scoutd when it launches, you must be:
At least 18 years old
Legally able to enter into a contract under Indian law
Acting truthfully, using your real name, real email, and accurate information
If you're representing a company, you must have authority to act on the company's behalf.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to Scoutd. We roll out invites in batches. We may decline access if we suspect fraudulent or abusive behavior. You can unsubscribe anytime by emailing scoutd@scoutd.in.
3. Acceptable use
When using Scoutd, you agree not to:
Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity
Harass, harm, defame, or discriminate against others
Scrape, automate, or extract data from the platform without permission
Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
Use Scoutd for any illegal purpose under Indian law
Attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise our infrastructure
Post content that infringes someone else's IP rights
4. Your content
When Scoutd launches and you upload content (resume, profile, video pitches), you keep ownership. You grant Scoutd a limited license to use that content for operating the platform, for example showing your profile to recruiters you've matched with.

6. No guaranteed outcomes
Scoutd is a platform. We do not guaranteethat you will receive job offers, find candidates for every role, or that other users are who they claim to be. You're responsible for your own due diligence.
7. Intellectual property
The Scoutd name, logo, design, and code are owned by Scoutd. Content created by users remains the property of the user.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Scoutd is not liablefor indirect damages, loss of opportunity, actions of other users, or inaccurate user-provided information. Scoutd is provided "as is" during pre-launch.
9. Termination
You can stop using Scoutd at any time. Email scoutd@scoutd.in to delete your waitlist signup. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in Indian courts having appropriate jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as Scoutd evolves. We'll notify users of material changes by email.
